HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG?

Every dog can vary in size even within the same breed, which is why it's important to measure them to get it right. If you have any doubts once you've taken the measurements, don't hesitate to contact us at info@dukier.com and we will be delighted to help you find the product and size that best fits your furry friend.

MEASUREMENT A
If it's for a harness or clothing, measure your dog around the lower neck, almost at shoulder level where the harness usually sits.

If it's for a collar, measure your dog's neck at the height where they naturally wear their collar.

MEASUREMENT B
Measure your dog's chest circumference, right behind the front legs.

MEASUREMENT C
Measure your dog's length from the neck to the base of the tail (end of the back).

COLLARS

If your dog is between two sizes, choose the smaller collar for a thinner fit or the larger collar for a wider fit.

WATERPROOF COLLARS

Waterproof collars run a couple of centimeters larger than regular collars.

REVERSIBLE HARNESSES

Our Reversible Harnesses are great for almost all small and medium dog breeds. They are only adjustable at the chest; the neck measurement is the fixed size of the harness neck opening. Make sure this measurement is large enough to fit over your dog's head. If your dog is between two sizes, always choose the larger one.

ADJUSTABLE HARNESSES

Our Adjustable Harnesses fit very similarly to Reversible Harnesses but can be adjusted at both the neck and chest.

BODY HARNESSES

Body Harnesses are the favorites for small dogs. These harnesses run small, make sure to measure your dog correctly. If your dog is between two sizes, always choose the larger size.

*Size XXS is an extra small size for dogs under 2kg.

PS: Chihuahuas who find the Reversible Harness in XS too big usually wear an XS in the Body Harness.

TRAIL HARNESSES

Our Trail harnesses run larger than usual, so we recommend measuring your dog very carefully.

CLASSIC HARNESSES

The Classic Harness is highly adjustable at the neck and chest. It is an H-shaped harness. Always leave a couple of centimeters of margin. Do not take the tightest measurements.

WATERPROOF HARNESSES

The Waterproof Harness is highly adjustable at the neck, chest, and pull strap. It is an H-shaped harness. Always leave a couple of centimeters of margin. Do not take the tightest measurements.

RAINCOATS

Raincoat measurements are approximate and are based on the maximum and minimum size for each part of the raincoat. They run VERY SMALL, always leave a 2-3cm margin, so we always recommend ordering one size up, keeping in mind that the harness will go underneath the raincoat. If you are between two sizes, always choose the larger one.

COATS

Coat measurements are approximate and are based on the maximum and minimum size for each part of the coat. They run small, so we always recommend ordering one size up, keeping in mind that the harness will go underneath as well as the coat's padding. If you are between two sizes, always choose the larger one.

HOODIES

Hoodies run VERY SMALL, make sure to measure your dog well. If you are between two sizes, keep in mind that you should leave a 2-3 cm margin for the harness and always choose the larger size.

SWEATERS

These sweaters run small, make sure to measure your dog well. If you are between two chest sizes, we recommend the smaller one, as sweaters stretch due to their material.

LEASHES

Our leashes have the same length but different widths and different carabiner sizes. If your dog is lightweight or small, it's better to choose size S so the carabiner isn't too heavy for them.

ESSENTIALS MULTI-POSITION LEASHES

BED

Make sure to buy the correct bed size; the Dukier bed cannot be returned due to its vacuum-packed memory foam mattress. The bed needs 24 hours to acquire its final shape and consistency.

BOW TIES

If the bow tie does not indicate a size on the product page, it is a size L.

BANDANAS

The bandanas are one size with a length of 70 cm; they can be used on dogs of practically all sizes.
