HOW TO MEASURE YOUR PUP

Every dog varies in size, even within the same breed, which is why measuring is the way to get it right. If you have any doubts once you've taken the measurements, do get in touch at info@dukier.com and we'll be delighted to help you find the product and size that suit your furry friend best.

MEASUREMENT A
If it's for a harness or clothing, measure around the lower part of your dog's neck, almost at shoulder height, where the harness usually sits.

If it's for a collar, measure your dog's neck where the collar naturally sits.

MEASUREMENT B
Measure around your dog's chest, just behind the front legs.

MEASUREMENT C
Measure your dog's length from the neck to the end of the back.

COLLARS

If your pup is between two sizes, choose the smaller collar for a slimmer look or the larger collar for a wider one.

WATERPROOF COLLARS

Waterproof collars come up a couple of centimetres larger than the regular collar.

REVERSIBLE HARNESSES

Our Reversible Harnesses work brilliantly for almost every small and medium breed. They only adjust at the chest; the neck measurement is what the harness measures around the lower part of your dog's neck, so make sure it's generous enough to slip the harness over your dog's head. If your dog is between two sizes, always go for the larger one.

ADJUSTABLE HARNESSES

Our Adjustable Harnesses fit very much like the Reversible Harnesses, but they adjust at both the neck and the chest.

BODY HARNESSES

Body Harnesses are the little ones' favourite. These harnesses come up small, so make sure you measure your dog properly; if your dog is between two sizes, always go for the larger one.

*Size XXS is an extra small size for dogs under 2kg.

PS: Chihuahuas who find the Reversible Harness too big in XS usually wear an XS in the Body.

TRAIL HARNESSES

Our Trail harnesses come up larger than usual, so we recommend measuring your dog very carefully.

CLASSIC HARNESSES

The Classic Harness is highly adjustable at the neck and chest. It's the H-shaped harness. Always leave a couple of centimetres of slack. Don't take the tightest measurements.

WATERPROOF HARNESSES

The Waterproof Harness is highly adjustable at the neck, chest and girth. This harness is H-shaped. Always leave a couple of centimetres of slack. Don't take the tightest measurements.

RAINCOATS

Raincoat measurements are approximate and are based on the maximum and minimum measurement for each part of the raincoat. They come up VERY SMALL, so always leave 2-3cm of slack, which is why we always recommend going a size up, bearing in mind the harness will sit under the raincoat; if you're between two sizes, always take the larger one.

COATS

Coat measurements are approximate and are based on the maximum and minimum measurement for each part of the coat. They come up small, so we always recommend going a size up, bearing in mind the harness will sit underneath along with the coat's padding; if you're between two sizes, always take the larger one.

SWEATSHIRTS

Sweatshirts come up VERY SMALL, so make sure you measure your dog properly. If you're between two sizes, remember to leave 2-3 cm of slack for the harness and always choose the larger size.

JUMPERS

These jumpers come up small, so make sure you measure your dog properly. If you're between two chest sizes, we recommend the smaller one, as the jumpers give thanks to their material.

LEADS

Our leads are all the same length but come in different widths and with different clip sizes. If your dog is light or small, size S is the better choice so the clip doesn't weigh them down.

ESSENTIALS MULTI-POSITION LEADS

*This lead is only available in size L; please note that the carabiner measurements are designed for dogs over 5 kg.

BED

Make sure you buy the right bed size — the Dukier bed can't be returned because of its vacuum-packed memory foam mattress. The bed needs 24 hours to take on its final shape and firmness.

BOW TIES

If the bow tie doesn't state a size on the product page, it's a size L.

BANDANAS

Bandanas come in one size with a length of 70 cm, and can be worn by pups of practically every size.
